As we come to the end of 2025 and prepare for the new year, it’s useful to look back at everything we’ve accomplished over the past 12 months. This year has been a big one for the Bray Wealth Management team, both professionally and personally.
Here are some of our most exciting highlights.
A big year for professional development
At Bray Wealth Management, we’re dedicated to supporting our team with their career progression. We’re delighted to report that Elena Newton has been working incredibly hard on her professional development, passing three important exams in 2025:
- (R01) Financial services, regulation, and ethics
- (R03) Personal taxation
- (R05) Financial protection.
Now, Elena only has three more exams to take before achieving her Regulated Financial Adviser qualification, so 2026 is likely to be an exciting year for her.
Several exciting new arrivals for the Bray Wealth Management team
Geoff has had a big year personally as well as professionally. We’re delighted to announce that he and his fiancée Catherine got engaged while on holiday in Galicia, Spain, and welcomed their son, Finley, in 2025.
Elena was also pleased to meet her niece, Lily, for the first time this year.
A big milestone birthday for John
John Findlay celebrated his 40th birthday this year. He marked this exciting milestone by throwing his very own “Johnboree” with treasured friends and family.
Coco, the Chobham cat visits the office
In 2025, we continued to welcome an essential Bray Wealth Management team member to the office on a regular basis. Coco, the Chobham cat, is something of a local celebrity, helping us greet clients, brightening everybody’s day, and keeping the team calm during busy periods.
The team have worked hard to generate more new enquiries than ever during a difficult year
Whether it’s dealing with the rising cost of living, navigating market volatility, or managing tax changes, 2025 has been a challenging year for everybody.
Fortunately, the Bray Wealth Management team has been on hand to support existing clients, as well as those who reached out for the first time.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Mo, Alison, Elena, and Zoe for all their hard work, as we’ve had more new enquiries in 2025 than ever before.
This goes to show that the whole team are here to support those who recognise the importance of good financial planning, especially during times of turmoil.
A final note from Bray Wealth Management director and financial planner Nick Swartout
As 2025 draws to a close, I feel immensely proud of what we have achieved together at Bray Wealth Management. It has been a year of progress, resilience, and teamwork.
Elena continues to make excellent progress towards her Regulated Financial Adviser qualification – she has just three exams to go. It has also been good to welcome Zoe back to the team after her long break following her health challenges.
John continues to provide great client-focused advice and plays a key role in our planning work across the company, as well as supporting the team in their development.
Ali continues to be our office rock; her leadership, commitment, and the caring support she provides to our clients have been central to everything we have accomplished.
Mo has kept us all going with her wisdom, hard work, experience, and, of course, her legendary cakes.
On a personal level, my involvement with the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) community this year has allowed me to bring new ideas into the business. Just as importantly, the group reminded me that the challenges of running a growing financial planning firm are shared by many others in the UK and around the world.
One of the key things to remember is that, in times of uncertainty, the need for a clear, well-thought-out financial plan has never been greater. I am grateful every day to work alongside such a talented group of financial planners and an exceptional support team who help our clients plan confidently for the future.
As we look ahead to 2026, I know that whatever the year brings, we will face it together, with the same care, professionalism, and spirit that define the Bray Wealth Management team.
