Hi, my name is Paul, and this is Debbie. We’ve been working with Bray Wealth for about six years now, and John Findlay is our adviser.

I was a teacher, then a head teacher, and it came to the time when I started thinking about retirement, and I talked to a specific adviser who dealt just with teacher pensions. My mum and dad had been clients of Bray, and there were some trust funds that we had that needed explaining to us. One of the things that John brings us is a non-emotional approach to money because if you’ve got a little pot of money that you inherited from your mum, or that you earn from that particular job, I have particularly been quite precious about that, thinking that’s my mum’s money. But actually, John, just says, “Those are your savings, and the most cost-effective savings to cash in and use would be this,” and he’s right.

I think the best thing about working with Bray is that retirement has been a delight. It’s been a real joy. I did a great job that I loved, and now I’ve got a great retirement. I don’t have to worry about “Can I pay the bills? Can I go on holiday?” I can do the things I want to do and know that, financially, we are secure.

The best piece of advice I’ve received in the time I’ve worked with Bray Wealth was one of the first pieces of advice that I was given, which was that we were well-off enough that I could retire at that point in time.

I would absolutely recommend Bray Wealth because I think they have a personal connection with their clients. That’s how I feel, you join their family. The people in the office, the people who write the emails and send you the paperwork, they’re all so approachable, they’re all so supportive, and if you need somebody, if we needed somebody now, we could phone their office, and somebody would be there to help us.
