1. Chobham Rugby Club fundraiser comedy night – 21 February
The first few months of the year can be a little underwhelming after the excitement of Christmas and new year is over, and the cold weather outstays its welcome.
Fortunately, on 21 February, there is a brilliant comedy fundraiser event at the Chobham Rugby club to lift your spirits.
The evening is in aid of the under-15s team, to help raise funds for their tour to Wales in 2025. You can enjoy an evening of laughs with three different comedians, all while raising money for a great cause.

2. Chobham carnival – 5 May
Chobham carnival is one of the biggest community events of the year, and it’s returning on 5 May.
Your whole family can enjoy the usual parades, fairground rides, live music, carnival performers, and shows. There will be plenty of refreshments on hand too. All the proceeds from the carnival go to charity, and the carnival association do amazing work supporting local causes.
2024 was a record-breaking year for the carnival, raising more than £5,000 for good causes including schools, amateur dramatics societies, and army cadets.

3. Chobham Rugby Club fundraising ball – 10 May
On 10 May, you’ll have another chance to support the Chobham Rugby Club at their fundraising ball. This annual event raises funds to support the general upkeep and running of the club, which is an important community hub.
This year’s theme is “sapphire”, so you can expect a glamorous affair. If you want to attend, you can purchase a single fundraiser ticket or club together with some family and friends to purchase a table. 4. Chobham Show – 20 September
The Chobham Show is an historic local institution and it will return for the 174th time on 20 September. The event, held at the village hall by the Chobham Agricultural and Horticultural Society, is a celebration of local farming and country life traditions.
The best growers in the local area come together to show their home-grown flowers and produce. Each entrant hopes to win one of the many prizes for the best floral and vegetable displays.
As well as the competitions, the show will host agricultural showcases and craft stalls. There will be plenty of delicious locally produced food and drink on offer too.
5. Chobham Music and Arts Festival – 4 to 18 October
The Chobham Music and Arts Festival is one of the biggest cultural events in the area, so you won’t want to miss it between 4 and 18 October.
The two-week festival takes place across the village in several venues, bringing all manner of events. You can expect orchestral performances, piano concerts and Morris dancing displays. There will also be a whole host of non-musical events including theatre performances, book clubs and art exhibitions. The festival organisers put on a range of events for children too, so the whole family can get involved.
